
Job Description
Summary/Objective: Manages tasks assigned by Foreman on a job and directs assigned Apprentices.
Essential Functions:
Directs assigned team of Apprentices and performs work on an industrial electrical project, to ensure that all safety rules are followed, work flow is coordinated and sequenced per resources and agreed upon timelines, all work is communicated and documented, that oversight is done on a consistent basis for adherence to contract/purchase order/change orders, blueprints, schematics, code, material order accuracy, and coordinates all actions with their Foreman for every aspect of the job to include solving issues or deferring issues and concerns to the Foreman, Superintendent, Project Manager, Safety Manager or Human Resource Manager as appropriate. Works and effectively communicates with the Superintendent, their team, and customer as appropriate on project details and expectations.
Competencies
- Electrical: theory, application, safety, code, installation/deinstallation
- Must be able to effectively communicate with employees, customers and vendors
- Basic comprehension of construction management software for electrical construction
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Oversees Apprentices on
- Following safety rules and regulations
- Training and directing assigned team
- Directing task workflow and material management
- Providing feedback on team members
- Ensuring communication effectiveness for the entire team

Education and Experience:
Journeyman License
High school diploma or equivalent
At least 4 years of industrial electrical experience
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to pull and lift up to 50 pounds
Must be able to walk, climb ladders, turn, twist, pull and stand for extended periods per day
